Fireworks

Educational Programs

The Fireworks Education Program is designed to spark student interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Our goal is to encourage K–12 students to pursue higher education and careers in technical fields. Through hands-on experiences, mentorship, and teamwork, we help students discover the excitement of STEM in the world around them while building skills in academic excellence, leadership, and technical development. Fireworks Educational Programs actively engage with communities across the Washington D.C. metropolitan area and beyond.

FIRE STEM

FIRE STEM (Future Innovative Rising Engineers) was founded in 2008 to ignite the passion of underrepresented and underprivileged youth in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).

Through mentorship, competitions, internships, and hands-on projects, FIRE empowers students to build technical skills, engage with industry professionals, and become innovative and entrepreneurial leaders in the workforce. FIRE is 100% volunteer-run and continues to change lives by helping students gain confidence and real-world experience in STEM.

Milton C. Davis Scholarship Program

The Milton C. Davis Scholarship Program honors the legacy of our late Executive Director, Milton Davis, who dedicated over a decade to mentoring and uplifting youth in STEM.

This scholarship supports graduating high school seniors who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to pursuing a career in STEM. Through this program, we aim to continue Mr. Davis’s vision of empowering the next generation of engineers, scientists, and innovators.
